Fandom: Heroes
Pairings: Claire Bennett/Elle Bishop
Warnings: sexual content, language and ehm ... femmeslash

Ratings: M
Words: 1943 words
Summary: Elle is watching Claire, not because her father asked her to do it but because she wants to do it.

Author’s note: This was difficult, for several different reasons none of the requested pairings really spoke to me. Some because I didn't know them. And some because I didn't watch the show in years. Heroes appealed to me the most, I love that show but I never thought of Heroes as in pairings if you get what I mean. And it was pretty difficult to write this, I really hope that this is what you expected.
Author´s note 2: I have actually been writing on this story up until the moment that I posted it, hence there was no time for a beta reader to read through it. So all mistakes belong to me. Sorry about that.

I was shocked when I heard the news this morning Heath Ledger was found death yesterday, today during the day I kept remembering this poem that Julia Stiles' character wrote in '10 Things I hate about you'. I have not seen the movie in years though I have seen it a couple of times. But I still knew the words, I am weird like that. I will always remember him for that role and of course his brilliant performance in 'Brokeback Mountain'.

I hate the way you talk to me,
and the way you cut your hair.

I hate the way you drive my car,
I hate it when you stare.

I hate your big dumb combat boots
and the way you read my mind.

I hate you so much it makes me sick,
it even makes me rhyme.

I hate the way you’re always right,
I hate it when you lie.

I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.

I hate it when you’re not around,
and the fact that you didn’t call.

But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you,
not even close…
not even a little bit…
not even at all.

The Hinky Awards - December 2007

Yesterday the NFA Hinky Award Winners for the December 2007 nominations where handed out.

And much to my surprise I won one! I was so surprised I almost couldn't believe it. I have been writing for 5 years now and I have been nominated for the CSI Awards a couple of times but I never won. I crossover to a new fandom and barely four months later I win a second price for a story. I was nominated for two stories, 'What happens in Vegas ... stays in Vegas' and 'We'll always have Paris'.

What happens in Vegas ... stays in Vegas

The Award Show which was held in the chat room was a lot of fun. It took almost three hours before all the winners where announced. It was set up like a MTV Awards Show. Very funny with the characters from the show making an appearance. Damn some people at NFA did a really good job!!! It was an unforgettable event, thank you to everyone who participated, nominated and voted.

Every time I hear this song I have to think about 'The L Word' and 'Jenny'. It is just such a perfect song for her. Maybe they can use it on season 5 ... :P Maybe they did who knows! Only 33 days till the start of next season!!!!

Jenny

Terra Naomi about the song; Since you guys asked - this song is not about a singer or anyone thatany of you probably know.....it's a song for a girl i don't know whowrote to me and wanted to kill herself. Yes, i lost my voice so it's a bit scratchy but even that can't stop me from posting a new song for you!!!

Jenny I think you've lost your mind
Jenny the friends you thought you had
Have left you all behind
Jenny there's truth in unkind words sometimes
Take what you need and leave the rest for someone else to find

Now you wanna show it to the world
You wanna show them just what happens
when you hurt a girl
And

Jenny I think you've lost your mind
Jenny I think you've lost your mind
Take that trophy from your hands
And just put it down you can
We all have to lose sometimes

It'll be better in a year
You'll forget everything you thought was so important here
Jenny I know even the darkest coulds will disappear
Everyone goes through this it's part of life

Now you wanna show it to the world
You wanna show them just what happens
when you hurt a girl
And

Jenny I think you've lost your mind
Jenny I think you've lost your mind
Take that trophy from your hands
And just put it down you can
We all have to lose sometimes

We all have to lose sometimes (6x)

50 Movies Challenge 2007

60/ 50 movies. 120% done!

When I first read about this challenge I just had to do something about it. I love movies and I watch a lot of movies so it should be an easy task to watch a movie and write something about it. And that is what this post will be for. This post will be updated whenever I want to add a new movie. This year I start right away with rating the movies with the stars. It is an easy way to rate a movie and it gives a nice overview.

I've seen more then fifty movies last year and I am definatly looking forward to the next fifty movies. Some where good some where really really bad. These aren't all the movies I have seen, I of course have seen some movies on tv too but I didn't feel the need to write something about older tv movies. Only some of them where worth writing about.

Rating:

Hated It -
Didn't Like It -
Liked It -
Really Liked It -
Loved It -

The movies:

1. Last Call

This made-for-cable biopic was based on Against the Current: As I Remember F. Scott Fitzgerald, the memoirs of Frances Kroll Ring. The film covers the years 1939 through 1940, when Frances Kroll (Neve Campbell) served as Fitzgerald's secretary. Once the most celebrated and idolistic novelist of the Roaring '20s, Fitzgerald (played by Jeremy Irons) has degenerated into a burned-out alcoholic, plagued by domestic travails attending his mentally ill wife, Zelda (Sissy Spacek), and his gossip-columnist mistress, Sheila Graham (Natalie Radford). The dedicated and devoted Frances manages to get her boss back on track and off the booze, but it is really too late. Fitzgerald dies at age 44, with what may have been his greatest novel, The Last Tycoon, remaining unfinished. Set in Hollywood (but filmed in Toronto), Last Call debuted over the {@Showtime network on May 25, 2002. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

My sister surprised me with this movie, I am a huge Neve Campbell fan have been for as long as I can remember. Well okay from when I was 11 years old and this is one of those movies that never got in the theatres so I had never seen it. And my sister saw the dvd and she bought it for me, out of the blue. How sweet is that just because she knew that I had never seen this movie. Well it is not the best movie ever but it is a good movie never the less. And I love seeing Neve!!!

2. North Country

A fictionalized account of the first major successful sexual harassment case in the United States -- Jenson vs. Eveleth Mines, where a woman who endured a range of abuse while working as a miner filed and won the landmark 1984 lawsuit.

A great movie, it kind of reminded me of the movie 'Erin Brockovich'. It is one of those stories where a woman who has no real perspective of the future makes a huge change. By stepping up to the system. I love these kind of movies they are so emotionally driven and well acted, of course Charlize Theron plays yet another marvelous role!!!

3. On thin ice

Based on a true story. Patsy McCartle is a widow with two sons tring to gather all the money she has to pay for her car, bills, and her son's medication, all of which she can barely afford. Patsy then turns to dealing drugs and becomes addicted to crystal meth. Her only way of recovery rests in the hands of her children.

One of those wednesday night true stories, which we have each wednesday night on RTL4. This was a new one, with a role from Dian Keaton, who plays a single mother who can't make ends meet and she makes a devastating decision. She starts dealing drugs and of course eventually using. Her son finds out and tries to run away with his brother of course his mother catches him and brings them back home. Where she starts detoxing because she doesn't have any drugs to take. Then her sons force her to stop drugs cold turkey, they lock her up in her room.

A devastating movie which shows what drugs to a person and how much that has effect on everyone around that person.

4. School for Seduction

One is not born a woman, one becomes one.
An Italian temptress arrives at a school in Newcastle to teach a group of Geordies about the art of romance.

This is one of those movies that you watch when you have nothing better to do. I watched it when my computer wasn't working and I had nothing to do. One of my roommates borrowed me this movie and I watched it, it was an entertaining movie and not bad at all but well not a good movie either. It was funny at times and really really pedictable!

5. Blooddiamond

The African adventure is set in Sierra Leone circa 1999, a time whenthe nation was in the midst of a horrific civil war. DiCaprio plays therole of a smuggler who specializes in the sale of "blood diamonds,"also known as "conflict diamonds" -- the precious stones used tofinance rebellions, privateers and terrorists.

When the smuggler encounters an indigenous Mende farmer whose young sonhas disappeared into the RUF's army of child soldiers, the two men'sfates become linked.

Truly one of the best movies I have seen lately. It is a very very dramatic movie because there are a lot of difficult things that happen. For one it is a movie which shows the way that African people are threated when diamonds come into play. Rebels kill, slaughter and rape their own countryman to gain more power and get the diamonds so that they can smuggle the diamonds out of the country to buy more weapons. This movie shows how children get abducted from they towns and brainwashed into soldiers. You see these kids kill and get killed.

This movie is truly one to watch!!! Go see it now!

6. Loser

Paul Tannek (Jason Biggs) is a small town scholarship student in thebig city having trouble fitting in at his New York college. With hisplaid hunter's cap and kind, good-natured personality, Paul is anoutsider among the self-anointed, sophisticated hipster crowd. As forhis pot-smoking, girl-chasing roommates, Paul's need to study takes aback seat to their overwhelming desire to party. Roommate Chris canonly offer a floundering Paul this piece of advice: "For your own good, just try to be not so much like you."

Very funny movie, a lot like the American Pie movies, a lot of fun if there is nothing better on tv.

7. Hard candy

A smart, charming teenage girl, Hayley probably shouldn't be going to a local coffee shop to meet Jeff, a 30-something fashion photographer she met on the Internet. But before she knows it, she's mixing drinks at Jeff's place and stripping for an impromptu photo shoot. It's Jeff's lucky night. But Hayley isn't as innocent as she looks, and the night takes a turn when she begins to impose a hard-hitting investigation on Jeff in an attempt to reveal his possibly scandalous past. HARD CANDY is an edge-of-your-seat psychotic thriller.

What a twisted movie, nothing you expect happens and everything that you didn't expect happens ... very twisted movie! This girl is completely crazy!

8. Cutting class

High school student Paula Carson's affections are being sought after bytwo of her classmates: Dwight, the "bad boy", and Brian, a disturbedyoung man who has just been released from a mental hospital where hewas committed following the suspicious death of his father. Soon afterbeing released, more murders start happening. Is Brian back to his oldtricks, or is Dwight just trying to eliminate the competition?

One of two movies, with Brad Pitt in it that I saw with a good friend. Both of the movies where old and both of them lacked in quality but it was entertaining never the less.

9. The dark side of the sun

This well shot and well located movie is complimented by an interesting debut by Brad Pitt. Set in 1988 just before the Yugoslavian conflict the story follows the fortunes of Rick (Brad Pitt) in meeting with a young American girl whilst suffering from a potentially fatal skin disease.

Set in a small town on the Adriatic the film is beautifully shot and is worth anyones time and money who appreciate a well made film professionally acted.

It was an entertaining movie, which I watched with a good friend. It wasn't the best movie ever but who cares ... I have seen worse movies!

10. Helter Skelter

The most infamous multiple murders of the 1960s are brought back to life in this, the second made-for-television adaptation of Vincent Bugliosi and Curt Gentry's best-selling account of Charles Manson and his "family." Linda Kasabian (Clea DuVall) is a young runaway with a baby who, while wandering the fringes of Los Angeles' hippie subculture, encounters Charles Manson (Jeremy Davies), a charismatic ex-convict and aspiring musician who travels with a group of young people, mostly women, whom he calls his "family." Kasabian soon falls into Manson's orbit and moves in with the group at a combination riding range and standing Western-movie set, where she and the other members of the family -- among them Patricia Krenwinkel (Allison Smith), Susan Atkins (Marguerite Moreau), Squeaky Fromme (Mary Lynn Rajskub), "Tex" Watson (Eric Dane), and Bobby Beausoleil (Michael Weston) -- subsist through petty crime, handouts, and rescuing food from trash bins and bond with their leader through drugs, group sex, and constant study of his apocalyptic philosophy. Like the other members of the group, Kasabian's life soon revolves around Manson, who is desperate to record his music and frustrated with the slow progress he's seeing from his patron Dennis Wilson, drummer with the Beach Boys. Certain that an international race war foretold in his songs will soon wipe out civilization, and that he and his family will ultimately persevere, Manson decides it's time to kick start events by staging a pair of spectacularly repellent murders, which are carried out by members of his family who have been taught not to question Manson's word. In time, Manson and his family are arrested in connection with the murders, and District Attorney Vincent Bugliosi (Bruno Kirby) is given the difficult task of untangling the mingled strands of the bizarre killings and making a case in court against the family.

I've seen this one on tv last night, it was late and I was so tired, I am having lots of problems getting to sleep again lately. My insomnia is acting up so I wanted to go to bed at a decent time but then I saw this movie and it fascinated me. Things like this always fascinate me, I guess that I want to understand what drives these people. Why they do the horrible things that they do ...

Charlie Manson wasn't as scary as I thought he would be, I think that the actor who portrayed him did a really good job. Especially when you looked into the eyes of that person at moments when he needed to it looked as if his eyes where black, an evil gleam in his eyes, while at other moments he seemed a very soft and nice man. He brainwashed, manipulated and guided the people that he called his family into doing horrible things. While he himself didn't really participate, thank god that a man like that was caught and that he is still imprisoned.

11. Shut up and sing

In 2003, the female country band, The Dixie Chicks, are at the top of their game being one of the most successful bands of all time. However with the US invasion of Iraq about to begin over frustrated worldwide objections about this needless war, one of the Chick vents off the cuffin concert about being ashamed of US President George W. Bush. This statement sparks a firestorm of organized and personal right wing attacks against the Chicks for daring to think they have the right to express a negative personal opinion about the President. This film covers the band's effort to ride out the turmoil that would leave their careers under a cloud, but would eventually give them a opportunity to grow as great artists who bow to no one.

The Dixie Chicks rock!!!! And just for that they get a sparkly new post and a nice review!

12. Say it isn't so

A young man finds out his lover may actually be his biological sister. After they break up he discovers he's not related and travels across the country to stop her impending wedding.Unfortunately the entire nation has heard the same story and think she's just after incestuous thrills.

A very funny movie, it is one of those movies which is soo predictable but funny at the same time!

13. Eragon

Based on the Christopher Paolini-penned bestselling fantasy novel about a youth whose discovery of a dragon egg leads him to become a knightand battle an evil king. The medieval-set tale revolves around a farm boy who learns he is the last of a breed of benevolent Dragon Riders, whose magical powers derived from their bond with the beasts.

I love movies like these, the whole mytical fantasy thing.

14. Bound

Corky, a lesbian ex con hired to work in an apartment as a plumber, meets neighbors Caesar, who launders money for the Mafia, and his girlfriend Violet. The two women have a love affair and decide to steal $2,000,000 that Caesar has in custody before he gives them back to Mafia boss Gino Marzone. Caesar is set up by the two scheming women as a scapegoat but things start to go wrong when he reacts in an unexpected way...

Yes, yes Chantal I have finally seen it! It is in my 'Zij & zij' dvd box! It is a good movie and that Gina girl... DAMN HOT!

15. Heavenly creatures

Weird movie, about two pretty screwed up girls.

16. Wild hogs

Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy hit the road in this rollicking comedy-adventure about a group of middle-aged friends who decide to rev up their routine suburban lives with a freewheeling motorcycle trip. When this mis-matched foursome, who clearly have grown far more used to the couch than the saddle, set out for a once-in-a-lifetime experience - they encounter a world that holds far more than they ever bargained for.

This movie totally cracked me up it was so funny, I watched it with my parents. Really you should watch it too. I can only give it 5 stars because that is how much fun we had.

17. The Covenant

Based on the graphic novel by Aron Coleite and Tone Rodriguez, The Covenantis the power passed down from generation to generation, but when four boys accidentally unleash an evil force in the process of receiving the powers from their fathers, they must join together to stop it.

Privilege and beauty abound at Spencer Academy, a New England boarding school for the region's reigning elite. Directed by Renny Harlin, The Covenant tells the story of the Sons of Ipswich, four young students bound by their sacred ancestry. As descendants of the original families who settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600's, the boys have inherited special powers - but the one hitch is that the misuse of these power scan shorten their lives and, once they turn 18, can actually kill them. When the body of a dead student is discovered after a party, secrets begin to unravel and the covenant of silence that protects them is threatened. Will the boys become victims of their own supernatural gifts?

I love these type of movies, people with supernatural powers. This is a pretty dark movie, but still one that I loved to watch.

18. Freedom writers

The project is based on "The Freedom Writer's Diaries: How a Teacher and 150 Teens Used Writing to Change Themselves and the World Around Them," written by high school teacher Erin Gruwell and her students.

I have a weakness for these based on a true event movies. I love 'Dangerous Minds' and I loved this movie too.

19. Black Christmas

In "Black Christmas" a sorority house is terrorized by a killer who makes frightening telephone calls before murdering the sorority sisters during the Christmas break.

Little miss Lacey Chabert should have watched her 'big sisters' movies better ... ( That would be Neve Campbell who played her big sister in Party of 5 and of course the movies would be the Scream movies, because Neve knows how to survive three slasher movies, while Lacey doesn't even make it through 1 ) I liked this movie a lot. Don't know why exactly but I like it. It was okay, I have seen worse much worse. The whole thing with the phones also reminded me of Scream, but hell lots of slasher movies have the same feel to it. Doesn't matter much you know when you start watching these movies that they will be predictable.

20. Spider-man 3

A complex web of secrets, vengeance, love and forgiveness, Columbia Pictures' "Spider-Man 3" is a riveting adventure that will transport worldwide audiences to thrilling new heights on May 4, 2007.

In "Spider-Man 3," based on the legendary Marvel Comics series, Peter Parker has finally managed to strike a balance between his devotion to M.J. and his duties as a superhero. But there is a storm brewing on the horizon. As Spider-Man basks in the public's adulation for his accomplishments and he is pursued by Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard), who rivals M.J. for his affections, Peter becomes overconfident and starts to neglect the people who care about him most. His newfound self-assuredness is jeopardized when he faces the battle of his life against two of the most feared villains ever (Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace), whose unparalleled power and thirst for retribution threaten Peter and everyone he loves.

Superheroes again ... don't ask!! :P

21. Brave new girl

Holly has everything it takes to be a star; the voice, the dream and the dedication, but she lacks the means to break away from her humble Texas upbringing. Then she gets the chance to attend an art and music school on the East coast and her future suddenly looks bright. But the road to stardom is a bumpy one. She must compete with the snobby Angela for the star spot and that's the least of her troubles. Luckily, Holly has the support from her mother and her roommate Ditz who prove that being a star has nothing to do with fame and everything to do with faith, family, and friends. Before all the number one hits and the adoring fans, all she had was the dream. Inspired by the book A Mother's Gift by Britney & Lynne Spears...the story of the true meaning of being a star.

Sometimes you are bored and seeing how I like music and movies and I was channel surfing and stumbled upon this. Haha and then when I wanted to add it to this page I found out that it was a movie written by or at least based on the book written by Britney Spears and her mom. Glad I watched the movie before I knew that I probably would have turned it off. I liked this movie especially the last scene where the girl Holly performs this song which starts as a classical song from 'Carmen' but turns into a hip hop/pop version with of course new lyrics and more beats to the same rhythm. It looked good and it sounded really good too. I liked that scene a lot and the rest of the movie wasn't bad either.

22. Queer as Folk - Season 1
23. Queer as Folk - Season 2

Based on the British series of the same name, Showtime's 'Queer as Folk' presents the American version. Following the lives of five gay men in Pittsburgh, 'Queer as Folk' is a riveting drama full of sex, drugs, adventure, friendship and love. Although the creators of 'Queer as Folk' wanted to present an honest depiction of gay life, it is by no means a comprehensive depiction. In addition to the usual sexual escapades and relationships of the five friends, the show explores critical gay political and health issues.

In my opinion I think that I should be able to add these two season of Queer as Folk to the list as well. I had never seen them before and now I finally so there you go, besides it takes more time to watch a season of a tv show then to watch a movie. I didn't expect it but I really really like this show. Although there is a whole lot of sex and naked male bodies in it! haha Not really my thing but still it is a better show then I expected and well I guess that I had to grow into it a little because at first I wasn't so taken by the show. But now I am and I am watching Season 3!!!

24. King Arthur

Based on a more realistic portrayal of "Arthur" than has ever been presented onscreen. The film will focus on the history and politics of the period during which Arthur ruled -- when the Roman empire collapsed and skirmishes over power broke out in outlying countries -- as opposed to the mystical elements of the tale on which past Arthur films have focused.

I like this movie, no magic just plain old fighting with swords and bows and arrows. And Keira Knightly is in it! haha that is always good. I bought it on dvd and I watched it this week. I forgot to add it earlier!

25. Gray Matters

They finish each other's sentences, dance like Fred and Ginger, and share the same downtown loft--the perfect couple? Not exactly. Gray and Sam (Heather Graham and Tom Cavanagh), are a sister and brother so compatible and inseparable that people actually assume they are dating.Mortified, they both agree they must branch out and start searching for love. He'll look for a guy for her and she'll look for a gal for him.But when Sam finds his perfect mate in Charlie (Bridget Moynahan)Gray's life turns inside out.

26. Jack and Sarah

She's not proper, she's not fitting, she's not British, but to Jack she's a breath of fresh air.

Funny performance by Richard E. Grant, Ian McKellan, Judy Dench (always a gem!) and Samantha Mathis. Life is just a series of mishaps, conflicts and comedy for this Yank in London until she finds love (what else would we expect) --- a good way to spend a Saturday night in front of the boob-toob --- do not expect to be enlightened but do expect some laughter and tears --- it is romantic and emotional (his secretary is a hoot, his boss is a bitch who you love to see dumped on her tight snooty ass!) --- a nice two hours to spend coming away with a smile!

It is a good movie, pretty predictable and nothing special. But it was certainly not bad.

27. Arlington Rd.

Widowed when his FBI agent wife is killed by a right-wing group, college professor Michael Faraday (Jeff Bridges) becomes obsessed withthe culture of these groups-especially when his new neighbors, theall-American Oliver and Cheryl Lang (Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack),start acting suspiciously.

28. Imagine me and you ( second time around )

"Imagine Me & You" is about a girl who falls in love on her wedding day...but not with the man of honor. Heck (Matthew Goode) and Rachel (Piper Perabo) are a happy young couple about to embark on life together. But at the church, Rachel catches the eye of an unexpected guest. In that moment, she realizes that maybe Heck isn't the one for her. Of course, they will never know for sure unless they give it a shot. What follows is the romantic, humorous and sometimes poignant journey familiar to anyone who's ever been lucky (or unlucky) enough to be under love's spell.

I still love this movie just as much as I did the first time around! Great movie, surely one you should see.

29. The white Masai

Based upon an autobiographical novel by Swiss writer Corinne Hofmann, the film tells of a girl, Carola, whose vacation in Kenya takes an interesting turn when she becomes infatuated with a Masai. Carola decides to leave her boyfriend to stay with her lover. There, she has to adapt to the Masai's way of life and get used to their food which includes milk mixed with blood. She also has to face her husband's attitude towards women and what he expects from a wife. Nonetheless, Carola is welcomed warmly into the tribe she has chosen to join.

It is a great movie, but from the second it starts you know that it has to end wrong. A western woman with a Masai warrior that will never work, in their culture women are nothing. They are only good to have sex with ( which looks more like rape to me ) and to take care of the kids. This woman of course grew up in Austria and she is not about to let herself being used that way.

30. Firestorm

When two forest fires collide, they create a ferocious storm. Howling winds whip the flames into a frenzy, creating massive tornadoes of fire rising up to 600 feet -- becoming so massive that they actually become their own weather system. Parachuting into and fighting these firestorms is a regular occurrence for smokejumper Jesse Graves and his close-knit team. But as Graves again prepares to battle a rampaging blaze, he is unaware that convicted murderer Earl Shaye, posing as a firefighter, is using the firestorm to implement a daring escape.

As nature's ultimate inferno threatens to engulf him, Graves is caught in the middle of a deadly situation. Using few tools and without backup, he must now try to outsmart the cunning killer and save an ornithologist, Jennifer, who has been taken hostage. But the fire is turning and time is running out.

One of those 12 in a dozen disaster movies. Predictable but not too bad!

31. Someone like you

Jane Goodale (Ashley Judd) is a young New Yorker who, after a heated romance with a co-worker (Greg Kinnear) sours, begins to piece her life back together by writing a column for a magazine analyzing the animal-like mating habits of men, and becomes an overnight sensation.

Despite her literary attempts to de-mystify romance, she finds a new romance with another co-worker and finds that the human heart -- even a man's -- is more complicated than to be easily explained my instinct.

Cute romantic comedy, I liked it! Nice to see 'Wolverine' in a movie as a normal guy, the man really can act! :P Just kidding.

32. Love don't cost a thing

This movie is a modern day update of the classic 1987 teen movie "Can't Buy Me Love," Alvin Johnson is a high-school senior, a likable brilliant outcast who regrets the years of intellectual endeavors that kept him and his un-hip friends from learning other skills such as socializing, getting girlfriends and hanging out with the "Elite Crowd". When Paris Morgan (queen of the Elite crowd), wrecks her mom's car, Alvin tries to help her out by mortgaging his future. In exchange for Alvin?s automotive skills and $1500 in car parts, Paris agrees to "fake a front" to the whole school that she and Alvin are dating. As Alvin's ego soars he stands the chance of losing his true friends, his chance for a scholarship and a shot at a real relationship with Paris.

Geek boy helps the sexiest girl in school and in return she acts as if he is her boyfriend. It's one of those very predictable but none the less cute movies.

33. The gift

In the tiny town of Brixton, Georgia where nothing is private, a woman with supernatural clairvoyance, a young beautiful socialite who has mysteriously disappeared, and an assortment of colorful characters all collide.

I liked this movie a lot! Sam Raimi sure knows how to get it all on the screen.

34. Love & sex

When her rather explicit copy is rejected, magazine journalist Kate is asked by her editor to come up with an article on loving relationships instead, and to do so by the end of the day. This gets Kate thinking back over her own various experiences, and to wondering if she is in much of a position to write on the subject.

35. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts. Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

36. Norbit

"Norbit" stars Eddie Murphy in the title role, a meek guy pressed into marrying a monstrous woman (also Murphy), only to meet the woman of his dreams (Thandie Newton). Cuba Gooding Jr. takes the role of Newton's boyfriend, while Eddie Griffin will star as a retired pimp. Terry Crews is in as one of Norbit's in-laws.

37. Transformers

A long time ago, far away on the planet of Cybertron, a war was being waged between the noble Autobots (led by the wise Optimus Prime) and the devious Decepticons (commanded by the dreaded Megatron) for control over the Allspark, a mystical talisman that would grant unlimited power to whoever possessed it. The Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark off the planet, but Megatron blasted off in search of it. He eventually tracked it to the planet of Earth (circa 1850), but his reckless desire for power sent him right into the Arctic Ocean, and the sheer cold forced him into a paralyzed state. His body was later found by Captain Archibald Witwicky, and before going into a comatose state Megatron used the last of his energy to engrave a map, showing the location of the Allspark, into the Captain's glasses, and send a transmission to Cybertron. He is then carted away by the Captain's ship. A century later, Sam Witwicky, nicknamed Spike by his friends, buys his first car. To his shock, he discovers it to be Bumblebee, an Autobot in disguise who is to protect Spike, as he bears the Captain's glasses and the map carved on them. But Bumblebee is not the only Transformer to have arrived on Earth - in the desert of Qatar, the Decepticons Blackout and Scorponok attack a U.S. military base, causing the Pentagon to send their special Sector Seven agents to capture all "specimens of this alien race," and Spike and his girlfriend Mikaela find themselves in the middle of a grand battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons, stretching from Hoover Dam all the way to Los Angeles. Meanwhile, within the depths of Hoover Dam, the cryogenically stored form of Megatron awakens...

38. Ratatouille

Remy is a young rat in the French countryside who arrives in Paris, only to find out that his cooking idol is dead. When he makes an unusual alliance with a restaurant's new garbage boy, the culinary and personal adventures begin despite Remy's family's skepticism and the rat-hating world of humans.

39. Evan Almighty

The sequel will take the news anchor character Steve Carell played in"Bruce Almighty" and put him on an Almighty-inspired quest to build anark in preparation for a great flood.

40. ( I now pronounce you ) Chuck and Larry

Two straight firefighters pose as a gay married couple in order to qualify for their department's domestic partner benefits.

41. Hidalgo

Based on the true story of the greatest long-distance horse race ever run, "Hidalgo" is an epic action-adventure and one man's journey of personal redemption. Held yearly for centuries, the Ocean of Fire - a 3,000 mile survival race across the Arabian Desert - was a challenge restricted to the finest Arabian horses ever bred, the purest and noblest lines, owned by the greatest royal families. In 1890, a wealthy Sheik invited an American and his horse to enter the race for the first time. Frank T. Hopkins (Mortensen) was a cowboy and dispatch rider for the US cavalry who had once been billed as the greatest rider the West had ever known. The Sheik (Sharif) would put his claim to the test, pitting the American cowboy and his mustang, Hidalgo, against the world's greatest Arabian horses and Bedouin riders - some of whom were determined to prevent the foreigner from finishing the race. For Frank, the Ocean of Fire becomes not only a matter of pride and honor, but a race for his very survival as he and his horse, Hidalgo, attempt the impossible.

42. The itty bitty titty committee

Anna is coming out. But not as gay as a revolutionary. Itty Bitty Titty Committee is a rockin love song to the heady rush of sex, freedom and rebellion that happens when an everyday girl discovers her own strength and the righteous indignation needed to take action and change the world. Our heroine is a shy, just-out-of-high-school lesbian, still living with her parents and working at a plastic surgery clinic. She is depressed because of a recent breakup but lives in a super-loving, gay-is-A-OK kind of family. Her world opens up one night when she catches a one-woman army reclaiming public space for women (i.e., spray painting the clinic where Anna works). A recruiting member of the guerrilla girls-esque Clits in Action (C(i)A), Sadie is trying to make people aware of how bad plastic surgery is for women. With an undeniable attraction to this sexy, raw rebel gurl, Anna eagerly joins the ranks of C(i)A and starts her rollercoaster ride from meek and mousy to bad-ass bravado. Full of mosh pits, power fists and utter charm,

Does Clea Duvall have a contract with Hollywood which says that she has to be in every GLTB movie? You would almost say that she does because she is in every movie even though sometimes it is just for a few seconds.

43. Knocked up

Slobby Ben and up and coming career girl Alison meet at a bar, and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison meets him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake.

44. Hairspray

Tracy Turnblad, an overweight teenager with all the right moves, is obsessed with the Corny Collins Show. Every day after school, she and her best friend Penny run home to watch the show and drool over the hot Link Larkin, much to Tracy's mother Edna's dismay. After one of the stars of the show leaves, Corny Collins holds auditions to see who will be the next person on the Corny Collins show. With all of the help of her friend Seaweed, Tracy makes it on the show, angering the evil dance queen Amber Von Tussle and her mother Velma. Tracy then decides that it's not fair that the black kids can only dance on the Corny Collins Show once a month, and with the help of Seaweed, Link, Penny,Motormouth Maybelle, her father and Edna, she's going to integrate the show.....without denting her 'do!

45. 0605

On May 6, 2002, Pim Fortuyn, a Dutch anti-immigration politician and leader of the opposition, is assassinated. Nearby, photojournalist Jimde Booy is taking pictures of a TV star; he notices odd things and people. Over the next few days, Jim uncovers a conspiracy behind the murder, a plot involving Dutch state security, defense contractors, and shadowy Americans. A key to understanding the plot may be a Turkish woman, Ayse Him, an animal-rights activist recently released from prison. Jim searches for her. State security soon knows of his investigation and that puts him and his 16-year old daughter Marije in danger. How many will die to keep Fortuyn's real killers secret?

46. Loverboy

Emily tells her son Paul, now six years old, the story of his life -how she sought motherhood, to be a mom without a husband, to raise a perfect, exceptional child, whom she calls Loverboy. In flashbacks told around a pretend car trip they take - so he can practice driving - we see Paul's infancy, their fun together (sometimes with a manic edge),and his growing desire to go to school and be with other kids. We also flash back to Emily's childhood, with parents so bound up with each other that she's virtually ignored. Is Emily going to be able to let Paul be with others? Or, can she, as in the David Bowie song she sings at a school talent show, construct a life on Mars?

47. Mindhunters ( rewatch )

On a remote island, the FBI has a training program for their psychological profiling division, called "Mindhunters", used to track down serial killers. The training goes horribly wrong, however, when a group of seven young agents discover that one of them is a serial killer, and is setting about slaying the others. Can the few that are left figure out who the killer is in time?

Okay so I was looking up the above text on IMDB.com and what did I see there that both Daniël Boissevain and Antonie Kamerling are in the movie, probably just for a few seconds or something, because I didn't see them but still they where in the same movie as 'Cold Case' hot chick also known as 'homicide barbie' Kathryn Morris.

Haha I just watched the 'barscene' in which they both are, they are kissing! They needed Dutch guys for a kissing scene.

48. A Sound of Thunder ( rewatch )

When a hunter sent back to the prehistoric era runs off the path he must not leave, he causes a chain reaction that alters history in disastrous ways.

49. Planet Terror
50. Death Proof

Welcome to the grind house - it'll tear you in two.
"Grind House" - noun - A downtown movie theater - in disrepair since its glory days as a movie palace of the '30s and '40s - known for "grinding out" non-stop double-bill programs of B-movies. From groundbreaking directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez comes the ultimate film experience: a double-bill of thrillers that will recall both filmmakers' favorite exploitation films. "Grind House" will be presented as one full-length feature comprised of two individual films helmed separately by each director. Tarantino's film, Death Proof, is a rip-roaring slasher flick where the killer pursues his victims with a car rather than a knife, while Rodriguez's film explores an alien world eerily familiar to ours in Planet Terror. Welcome to the grind house - it'll tear you in two.

Two of the most renowned filmmakers go back to back with GRINDHOUSE, a double dose packed to the gills with guns and guts. The unprecedented project from the longtime collaborators (FROM DUSK TILL DAWN, FOUR ROOMS, SIN CITY) presents two original, complete films as a double feature. Quentin Tarantino's DEATH PROOF is a white knuckle ride behind the wheel of a psycho serial killer's roving, revving, racing death machine. Robert Rodriguez's PLANET TERROR is a heart-pounding trip to a town ravaged by a mysterious plague. Inspired by the unique distribution of independent horror classics of the sixties and seventies, these two shockingly bold features are presented together on a drive-in style double bill, replete with fake trailers, missing reels and plenty of exploitative mayhem.

The impetus for GRINDHOUSE began during a time before the multiplex and state-of-the-art home theaters ruled the movie-going experience. The origins of the term "Grindhouse" are fuzzy: some cite the types of films shown (as in "Bump-and-Grind") in run down former movie palaces; others point to a method of presentation -- movies were "grinded out" in ancient projectors one after another. Frequently, the movies were grouped by exploitation subgenre. Splatter, slasher, sexploitation, blaxploitation, cannibal and mondo movies would be grouped together and shown with graphic trailers.

This was movie exhibition in its alternative heyday, simultaneously run-down and vividly alive.

Robert Rodriguez, co-director of SIN CITY, brings you PLANET TERROR, a retro-futuristic vision of horror that's been weathered, stripped, and aged to perfection.

In PLANET TERROR, married doctors William and Dakota Block (Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton) find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by gangrenous sores and a suspiciously vacant look in their eyes. Among the wounded is Cherry (Rose McGowan), a go-go dancer whose leg was ripped from her body during a roadside attack. Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), her former significant other, is at her side and watching her back. Cherry may be down, but she hasn't danced her last number. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night, hurtling towards a destiny that will leave millions infected, countless dead, and a lucky few struggling to find the last safe corner of PLANET TERROR.

PLANET TERROR also stars Michael Biehn, Jeff Fahey, Naveen Andrews, Stacy Ferguson and Michael Parks. PLANET TERROR will be shown on a GRINDHOUSE double bill with Quentin Tarantino's DEATH PROOF.

For Austin's hottest DJ, Jungle Julia (Sydney Tamiia Poitier), dusk offers an opportunity to unwind with two of her closest friends, Shanna and Arlene (Jordan Ladd and Vanessa Ferlito). This three fox posse sets out into the night, turning heads from Guero's to the Texas Chili Parlor. Not all of the attention is innocent: Covertly tracking their moves is Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell), a scarred, weathered rebel who leers from behind the wheel of his muscle car. As the girls settle into their beers, Mike's weapon, a white-hot juggernaut, revs just feet away...

Also starring in DEATH PROOF are Rosario Dawson, Tracie Thoms, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Zoë Bell, Rose McGowan, Omar Doom and Eli Roth. DEATH PROOF will be shown with Robert Rodriguez's PLANET TERROR as part of the GRINDHOUSE double bill.

The Grindhouse: Planet Terror and Death Proof poster

Okay so it wasn't the best movie ever, or better said the best movies ever. But it was interesting and as always somehow Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez always know how to grab your attention. I can understand that people thought that these movies where gross, but still with these two directors you should already know what to expect if you have seen 'From Dusk till Dawn' and 'Kill Bill'. Besides that they have a cast with a lot of well known names which is usually a good thing. For these movies we see Tracie Thoms ( the other Homicide Barbie from Cold Case ), Rose McGowan ( Charmed ), Naveen Andrews ( Lost ), Rosario Dawson ( Who was also with Tracie Thoms in Rent ), Vanessa Ferlitto ( Former CSI NY chick ) and Stacy Ferguson ( Better known as Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas ).

My first post for the NBA

Okay, so in my last post I told you about my friend who opened a website where different writers post articles on things that matter to them, one time it can be a very serious about an news item while the next time you can choose to write about something in the media. For my first article I choose to write about the whole Jorja Fox leaving CSI. I wrote it from my point of view, the way that I look at the whole situation and commented on the actions that the fans held for Jorja. I wanted to write about that for my own journal but then I figured that it would be a good piece to add to the NBA blog called 'Isn't it ironic ...'.

Hope you like it!

My friend Chantal, [info]prettytoughgirl asked me to forward this information to all of you who might be interested. So here it goes;

I am starting a new blog called 'No Borders Allowed'. In short, it will be a collaboration between various writers, a handful of regulars and guest writers.

Subjects may vary from the lighthearted (celebrities etc) to the more in depth articles (which can range from subjects such as the government etc).

For this we are looking for several 'staffers' i.e. regular writers. Do you think you have what it takes (which is not much really, just people with a good head on their shoulders ;-)) then contact me (either via livejournal or my blog at http://blog.alrightstill.net) or e-mail me at webmaster@(NOSPAM)alrightstill.net or zeegersc@(NOSPAM)gmail.com. (remove the (NOSPAM) bits.

--------------------

Like I said, various subjects will be tackled. If you can write about the Pro's and Con's of wearing the right dress and make it interesting, then by all means show us and your story can be featured.

Movie, Book and Television Reviews are also welcome.

Do you think people need to know about a certain thing and you can write it in a believable way?

--------------------
We are also looking for people to be interviewed on various series we are doing.

(so far)

Being LGBT In
This is a series that will focus on LGBT people from all over the world. Questions will range from personal (when you came out etc) to political (what the heck can your country do) to fun (where are the cool places to hang out at). This can be be done anonymously if one would prefer.

----
We also want to do a small highlight feature every now and then for people who Self Injure. Shed a light on some of the misconceptions of SI.

My drabble table  )

Drabbles are fun! I loved making drabbles when I was first a member of the Catherine and Sara community but then all of the sudden the challenges stopped coming in and I didn't write any drabbles for more then a year. Well that was until I found that drabble meme a week or so ago. That triggered my will to write drabbles again so when I found this [info]drabbles100. I of course claimed Catherine and Sara.

I started this a long time ago, a mayor writers block prevented me from writing even the simplest and shortest drabbles. Things are better now so I hope that I will also get this list finally done.

Spoiler free! Ain't that something!!!

[music| The tv in the background]

For months I have been looking for it, and finally finally I found it. It took me on a long search until I almost gave up but now it is back!
Yes you might not believe it but I found my muse ....

These past two weeks I have been writing like crazy again! I have written a Bones fic ( Temperance/Angela ) 'I was hoping'. And I am working on some new pieces in a for me new fandom, NCIS. This is a show that I wanted to watch when it first started but never got around to it. I was back then watching too many tv shows, which I still am but now I am living on my own and not at my parents house. :P But that is completely besides the point.

So this past summer I watched, first all the seasons of 'Queer as Folk' the US version and I loved it. I could have never guessed it but I really loved it! I really did. And when I was done with that I started watching NCIS finally. I fell in love with that show, it has everything I love in it. Crime, great interaction between the characters, characters to love and lots and lots of humor. And that brought back my muse I think. I am just as excited about this show as I was when I got into the whole CSI writing spree. These past two weeks I have been working on two different NCIS fics. One is a crossover with CSI, and also a challenge fic for NCIS fanfiction addiction for the 'NCIS meets ...' challenge. And I got some other ideas floating around in my head and in my scrapbook, a Sara/Sofia/Catherine fic although not like that but they will be the main characters in the story.

And I am actually working on 'Don't close your eyes', yes that is the third part of the 'Sweet Salvations Series'! At this moment I am rereading my own fic, because I have not been working on it for so long I want to make sure that the story makes sense. I could have been writing sooner but I didn't feel inspired and I felt that it would not be good for the story if I just tried to finish it no matter what. And I know that quite some people have read it and I owe it to them to write a fitting ending of the series and that is what I am trying to do now. I am not making any promises on when I will be posting new chapters but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on it.

If you want to read any of my older fics you can read them at my new and improved fanfiction website

And if you are more interested in my very personal posts go to my blog at Dreamer @ Internal-Dialogue.net

Top 10 Things We’ve Learned from The L Word (So Far)

Written by: Malinda Lo

It seems like only yesterday that The L Word was but a twinkle in creator Ilene Chaiken’s eye, and yet we are already well into the Showtime lesbian drama’s third season. Showtime has still not announced whether the show will be renewed for a fourth season — prompting some TV critics to theorize that The L Word has jumped the shark — but regardless of whether the dyke drama returns, you can’t deny that the show has taught us a lot about lesbian life in Los Angeles. Here are some of my favorite lessons, good and bad.

1. There are no butches in Los Angeles. You have to import them from the Midwest, as happened this season when Jenny brought Moira back to La-La Land from Illinois.

2. “Good hair” is subjective. But Shane rarely has it.

3. Nobody likes Jenny. Which is too bad, because Mia Kirsher is one of the best actors on the show.

4. Everybody is rich (even the unemployed writer, struggling young DJ and rarely employed hairstylist) and can afford to eat at uber-fancy restaurants that serve food that look more like postmodern art than something you want to eat.

5. According to Carmen, “In the Latino culture, it’s OK if two girls dance with each other.” Thanks for that newsflash, Carmen. It’s also OK in “American” culture. Ever seen Girls Gone Wild?

6. Leisha Hailey (Alice) can make anything hilarious. Even that good ol’ standby, the lesbian vampire.

7. Don’t trust a man with a video camera. Or a writing staff who thinks that makes for a good storyline.

8. Shane wearing a dress is just wrong. Can’t we just let her be her own indefinable, not-butch, not-femme (that would be “androgynous”) self?

9. Nobody is more ballsy than Bette. And that’s why I love her. Or do I just want to be her?

10. Friends are forever. Seriously, The L Word is at its best when everybody gets along and comes together to support each other through difficult times. Get our your Kleenex boxes now, ladies, because you’re gonna need them in the second half.
